Lake Candlewood Lake Authority
Candlewood Lake is the largest lake in Connecticut. It is located in Fairfield and Litchfield counties of western Connecticut and is 8.4 sq. mi. Along the 60 mile shoreline are recreational facilities and five star resorts. The lake is bordered by five towns: Danbury, New Fairfield, Brookfield, Sherman and New Milford. The marinas, beaches and golf courses attract the many tourists that flock to area for the summer and winter activities.
